Place: No.2 ABCHORAGE, NANTONG PORT, CHINA
THIS IS TO CERTIFY that at the request of BAO GU SHIPPING Co.,
LTD. The undersigned surveyor did attend on board the named vessel on Feb.26,1998,
while she anchored at #2 ANCHORAGE of NANTONG PORT,CHINA,
for the purpose of carrying out an OFF-HIRE SURVEY on the occasion
of the vessel being re-delivered from charters to owners.
The M/V "ANTHONY" is a tweendecker ship having poop with machinery
aft., has 5 hatches and all cargo holds are located at forward of the engine
room and accommodation area, single screw propeller equipped.
Condition survey was commenced at 1030 hrs. (BEIJING TIME) Feb.26,1998,
and
completed at 1230 hrs. of the same day.
For the purpose of this report structures and fitting numbers from fore to aft, from top to bottom and from the port side to starboard side in each compartment or weather deck area unless otherwise stated. Deficiencies considered to be normal for vessel of this type and age is not mentioned .
No part of the underwater and exterior of hull, interior of tank, living quarters, engine room were surveyed.
Minor gouges, nicks and dents on structural members, such as hatch cover, hatch coaming, deck, inner plating, etc., were not specially noted in this report as they were considered to normal wear and tear of the vessel in her age.
SHELL PLATING
the side shell plating were all even and straight, but were in a state of partly rusty pits and especially near waterline.
UPPER DECK
Upper deck plating was even and straight, but the paint had peeled off
widely, were in a scattered condition of lacking maintenance.
Port and starboard sides bulwarks was moderate rusty.
the cranes on board were all in serviceable condition.
The small hatches and accesses to cargo holds located between cargo
hatches appear in satisfying condition.
All watertight steel hatch covers on upper deck were found in sounding
work condition.
Deck appliances well maintained.
Two sets of gangway ladders were found in serviceable condition, but
2 balustrades at the lower end of starboard side gangway ladder rail missed.
IN CARGO HOLD
All 5 cargo holds during survey were in opening condition.
Internal inspection to No.1, No.2, No.3, No.4 & No.5 cargo holds
found all bulkheads, the side shell plating, inner bottom plating, the
frames, hatch coaming appear in sounding condition, but it was obvious
that all cargo holds had not been paint maintained for a long time.
Though there were some equipment of pipe system in No.3 & No.4
hold hadn't been discharged, the survey found the cargo holds were dry
and clean at the meantime.
BUNKERVEY SURVEY was carried out on Feb.26, 1998. The actual quantity
of
bunkers remaining on board were ascertained at 1000 hrs. of the same
day as follow, while the trim of M/V "ANTHONY" was 2.5 M:
In the morning of March 2, 1998, we received the information from PANAVICO
Nantong Office that the M/V "ANTHONY" left No.2 anchorage of Nantong Port
at 0900hrs., on February 27, 1998 and had been re-delivered to Ship owner
at 1636 hrs., on February 27,1998 in the mouth of CHANGJIANG RIVER.
So the quantity of bunkers remaining on board should be:
